Equity Research
Who we are
The Equity Research division of the HFC provides an opportunity for students to learn, enhance, and broaden their investment skillset. Participating in this program has expertly set participants up for future careers in prestigious careers such as investment banking and participation in the Calgary Portfolio Management program. These skills include, but are not limited to, analytical, critical thinking, presentation, research, and formatting.

Students participating on an Equity Research Team will work in groups of 5 to conduct research, build models, and present on a company of their choosing in a given sector. One to two times per academic school year students will pitch a stock to a panel of industry experts and give a buy, sell, or hold recommendation. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible ​to apply.​​
